Our Team

FINE GARDENING CREW:

Helen (Garden Crew Lead): Helen has been working for Sean for over 10 seasons. With an extensive knowledge of plants and the region, Helen will make sure your gardens are looking their best. Helen is currently working on obtaining her Master Gardener Certification. When Helen is not working in your gardens she enjoys sailing on her boat on Lake Champlain, biking, skiing, spending time with her family and volunteering at Zack’s Place where her daughter Erin spends most her time. Fun fact, Helen is also Sean’s mother.

Madi: Hi! I’m so excited to be apart of SLAGS for my 3rd season while I am home for the summer from college. I have lived in Vermont my whole life and have always enjoyed the various activities that the great outdoors has to offer in the upper valley. I love working in different gardens and seeing how spaces transform for the better!

Ginny: This will be Ginny’s first season at SLAGS and she is very excited to beautify outdoor spaces in an area new to her. Originally from Warner NH, she attended college in Vermont and Arizona, returned to Vermont in 2020 and immediately fell in love with native gardening and restoration. She has always enjoyed the natural flow of seasonal work and acquired extensive knowledge from working at a native aquatic-specializing nursery in Orwell, VT

Natalie: This is Natalie’s first season working for SLAGS. She is excited to work outside and make people’s gardens shine. Natalie has loved helping in the garden ever since she was little. She can’t wait to join the team this season, and is looking forward to continuing to grow her knowledge of landscaping and gardening.

LANDSCAPING CREW:

Sean (Owner/Crew Leader): Born and raised in Thetford, VT, Sean enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and boating on the river. He has owned and operated SLAGS for 19 years. Fun fact: Sean does not like eggs, coconut or coffee.

Robert: Born and raised in Wyoming, Robert is new to the region and is in his first season with SLAGS. Robert has also lived in Hawaii, Louisiana, and North Carolina. He enjoys sports, trying new restaurants, and stalking trout along stream banks. He’s also an avid coleslaw eater.

Liam: Hi my name is Liam! I grew up in southern California. I did landscaping for years when I was younger. I love being outside, hanging out with friends. I am looking forward to a great season!
